Packaging Rules
- 9 units must be completed:
- 4 core units
- 5 elective units, consisting of:
- 1 unit from Group A: Infection Control
- at least 1 unit and up to 3 units from Groups B to F
- the remaining units selected from the electives listed below.
Any combination of electives that meets the rules above can be selected for the award of the Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing. Where appropriate, electives may be packaged to provide a qualification with a specialisation.
Specialisations
Packaging Rules for each specialisation:
All group B electives must be selected for the award of the Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing (Eyebrows).
All Group C electives must be selected for the award of the Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing (Lips).
All Group D electives must be selected for the award of the Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing (Eyes).
All Group E electives must be selected for the award of the Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing (Scalp Micropigmentation).
All Group F electives must be selected for the award of the Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing (Breast Areola).
Where two or more specialisations are completed award of the qualification would read Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing (Eyebrows, Lips, Eyes, Scalp Micropigmentation, or Breast Areola) as relevant to the completed specialisations.
The selection of electives must be guided by the job outcome sought, local industry requirements and the complexity of skills appropriate to the AQF level of this qualification.
